There is also an emoji picker on the right side of the chatbox where you can scroll through and pick your favorite emoji, or you can just search it in the search bar at the top of the menu. Adding emojis can be a nice touch to your message, adding some emotion, flare, and a personal touch to help get your point across. Twitch subscribers can if enabled by the streamer, globally use their sub emotes without the need for Nitro! Additionally, with Discord Nitro, you can use GIF Emojis. These custom emojis can be used globally in any Discord server you want, as long as you have the Use External Emoji permission, by getting Discord Nitro Classic for $5/mo or $50/yr (There is a higher tier of Nitro, simply called Discord Nitro, which comes with more perks, for $10/mo or $100/yr). You can also add up to 50 custom emojis to a server to use within the server they were added on, expandable to a total of 250 at Level 3 Server Boost. Emojis can be called by putting the name in between two colons: :smile. It might seem too good to be true, but it’s true! Most Unicode emojis should already be registered into Discord’s database.
